Terms of Service

Spend X Save is operated by an individual based in Malaysia. It is not a registered company, so there is no company registration number or registered office to publish here.

You can reach the operator at spendxsave.support@gmail.com. This is also the address for formal notices about these terms.

Spend X Save is a personal record-keeping tool. You enter or import your own transactions, accounts, balances and investment valuations, and we display totals, charts and trends based on that data.

It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it does not connect to your bank unless you choose to import a statement file yourself. Figures are only as accurate as what you enter, and exchange rates are indicative daily rates rather than rates you can trade on.

• •You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure.
• •You are responsible for activity under your account.
• •You must be old enough to enter into a contract where you live.
• •One person per account. Sharing login credentials is not permitted.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion removes your accounts, transactions, valuations and subscription record.

• •The Free plan is free indefinitely and covers the limits described on the pricing page.
• •Paid plans are billed in advance, in Malaysian Ringgit or Singapore Dollars, for the interval you choose.
• •Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.
• •After a paid plan ends, your account reverts to the Free limits. Your data is not deleted.
• •We may change prices for future billing periods. We will give notice before a price change affects you, and you may cancel first.

See the Refund Policy. In short: request a refund within 14 days of a charge.

• •Do not use the service for anything unlawful, or to store data you have no right to hold.
• •Do not attempt to access another person’s data, probe the service for vulnerabilities without permission, or disrupt it.
• •Do not resell or white-label the service without a written agreement.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms.

Your data belongs to you. We handle it as described in the Privacy Policy, and you can export it at any time.

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Features may change, and a feature may be removed. If we discontinue the service entirely we will give reasonable notice so you can export your data.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on figures in the app.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 (Malaysia) or the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act (Singapore) where those apply.

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over a dispute about them. Write to us first — almost everything is faster to settle that way than anywhere else.

Nothing in this section takes away a right you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, including the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act in Singapore. Where that law gives you a stronger right, or the right to bring a claim in your own courts, it applies.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
